Brad, Landon and I had a great Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve at my Grandparents and Christmas Day at my parents. It was really nice to not have to go far and to be in places where Landon feels right at home. It is amazing how much Landon has changed just since his first birthday 4 months ago. He finally has started to get the concept of ripping paper and that he gets the item he unwraps. Once he got something unwrapped he wanted it out of the box immediately so that he could play with it. The only hard thing was getting him to move onto the next gift. It was so much fun to see him get excited about his presents.

Snow!!!
We got a little more snow than we bargained for at our house....somewhere close to 2 ft. Although Brad and I were a little frustrated since we had to get to work in it, Landon was in heaven. He loved the snow. You would have never known that it was in the teens temperature wise or that everywhere you walked you had to be super careful you didn't fall because it was so slick. As long as Landon had on his snow suit, boots, hat and gloves he was all set. He figured out very quickly that it was slippery and would walk very slowly and with all those layers I don't think he realized how cold it really was.
The look on his face says it all! What a happy little guy.

Halloween
Okay, so it's almost Christmas and I am just getting to posting pics of Halloween...sorry everyone. I can't believe how fast time flies.
As you can see Landon was a dragon for Halloween. The first few times he put his costume on he got gifts of some sort, whether it be candy or a toy, and I think he was beginning to think that every time he would put the costume on he got something.

Afternoon at the Park
Landon loves to be outdoors. He seems to be happiest when he is doing something outside. Too bad we live in washington and have to fight the rain year round, because I would love to let him play outside all the time.
Landon loves the toys at the park. Whether it be the swings or the slide he is entertained doing either. From the picture below you can see he can stand, but he has yet to walk more than a couple of steps on his own.

Pumpkin Patch Fun
Brad and I took Landon to the Plant Farm between Marysville and Arlington to get pumpkins for Halloween. Not only did Landon get pumpkins, but He also got the opportunity to go on a "train" ride and a hay ride.
Landon got to sit on a tractor, which loved. He knew exactly what he was supposed to do when he got up there. As you can see he reached right for the steering wheel and wanted to drive the tractor all by himself.

Landon uses a spoon!!
Landon has finally figured out that he can use a spoon. It may be a little messy, but hey I guess you got to learn some how.
The down side to this...he thinks that he has it mastered and he no longer needs our help for anything. I guess this is probably the first of many things that he will "know" he doesn't need our help with.

Balloon fun
For Landon's first birthday I couldn't resist, but to get him balloons. The day of his birthday he was kinda into them and would hit them when given the chance, but the day after he dicovered that you can do more with balloons than just hitting them. Every time I would turns around he would have those things wrapped around some part of his body so that when he crawled around they could go with him. It was quite the site to see little Landon with balloons twice his size being drug behind him.
Landon turns one!
Tub Time
I don't know what it is about the water, but Landon absolutely loves it!!! Even when you think that he has had to have had enough, due to the fact that his fingers are getting wrinkled, you have thought wrong. If he is cranky, tired or mad a bath can otally change his attitude. Brad and I often feel guilty taking him out.
Cooling down
With the temperatures being record breaking we have had to become creative in keeping Landon comfortable.Although the heat doesn't seem to bother him, he did think it was the coolest thing to sit in the freezer to cool off for a minute.
Landon loves to play in the water. I think he would stay in the bath or pool all day if you would let him.
When ever he gets a chance he is throwing things in and taking things out of the water. Even at home he loves to put cars in the dog's water dish if you haven't hidden it.
